Pergola Decorating Ideas

Pergolas need to add the style, art and the structure of a court. Use your imagination and decorate as you would a room inside.

A pergola is similar to a truss, but is generally larger and not attached to a house. It can add elegance to your home while providing a focal point for decorating and design. A pergola can link different parts of the garden, such as public spaces, to more private spaces. It can provide a remote area in the courtyard which can be used for dining or relaxing. The vine can grow on a pergola to provide summer shade. Pergolas can be almost any size and shape, depending on its use. Beams on top of the pergola can be cut to any shape to adapt the style of the house. Usually on a traditional pergola, the ends of the beams are cut with a template, so that each end is the same. You can cut all different ends if you wish, for a unique look.

Pergolas are usually made of wood. The uses of different woods, where the construction of the pergola and it will make it look unique. Make support redwood posts and then make the top of pine. When you have a pergola in your garden that you want to add style, art, and structure, consider using ribbons and lights during the holiday season. For each holiday, the use of different colored ribbons and streamers. Take a string and hang around the pergola. Use natural products such as garlands of vine raisins or nuts and fruit strung on son. Place dried fruits and vegetables crowns on supporting posts. Use a ball of corn crown on each corner.

Build shelves in the design of the pergola. If the pergola is large enough, you can build more benches for seats. Think of your pergola as outside the rooms and hang the mirror in between some of these posts. Use what you have on your property. Add things like cedar branches for posts, to add dimension and texture. At a party, decorate with fabric of the pergola made of fabric curtains and tie to each post using some raffia or ribbon. You can weave the fabric and the top of the beams before the vines broad enough to cover this area.

Wrap the fabric or raisins vines around the posts. Hang decorative bird cages or bird of the pergola roof. Use your imagination and think about the decoration as you would a room in your house. You can even hang artwork temporary.
